Brazoria County Alliance for Children (BCAC) employs a staff of experienced professionals dedicated to serving the needs of abused and neglected children and their families. Services include conducting forensic interviews and assessments, medical exams, advocacy, and the provision of victims assistance as well as mental health services.

The Executive Director provides oversight and direction to the planning, development and management of the daily operations of Brazoria County Alliance for Children. This position is responsible for advising and providing information and reports to the Officers and Board of Directors, and promoting Brazoria County Alliance for Children and its programs to the community.

The Financial Administrator is responsible for all bookkeeping activities for the organization, including the expenses allotted to specific grant funding, fundraising efforts, and administrative expenses, as well as preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. This position assists the Executive Director in identifying upcoming projects that may need additional funding and researching funding opportunities to meet those needs.
Kristi Belluomini – Sr. Forensic Interviewer

The Forensic Interviewer conducts interviews of alleged child victims of physical & sexual abuse as well as child witnesses to violent crimes in a developmentally appropriate manner. This position also facilitates monthly case review team meetings with members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the safety and security of all children involved in the case. The Forensic Interviewer also provides therapy referrals for children who make an outcry of abuse to the on-site crisis therapist, provides families with community resources as needed, calls non-offending caregivers for family follow ups.

The Program Assistant coordinates the intake process with Law Enforcement and Child Protective Services (scheduling and coordinating appointments). This position also provides assistance to non-offending caregivers in filling out and submitting appropriate paperwork and educates family members about additional Crime Victims resources.
Forensic Interviewer/Training Specialist

The Forensic Interviewer/Training specialist conducts forensic interviews and participates in discussions with the multi-disciplinary team on newly open cases. This position also provides therapy referrals for children who make an outcry of abuse to the on-site crisis therapist, provides families with community resources as needed, calls non-offending caregivers for family follow ups, and conducts child abuse trainings to various members of the community, including professionals working with children, parents, and caregivers.

Monitor case progress and provide crisis intervention, education and support to clients and their non-offending caregivers. Facilitate case coordination throughout the entire investigative/legal process. Participate in community outreach activities such as speaking engagements and activities that assist professionals in identifying child abuse or neglect.
Saudia Solomon – Therapist

The Therapist provides on site crisis intervention and long term therapeutic services for victims and their families or refers clients to an outside mental health provider as appropriate. Services are offered in the form of individual, family, play therapy and/or group counseling. Every child that discloses abuse is referred to the onsite clinician to determine specifically what mental health services would be beneficial. Upon the request of the multidisciplinary team, the crisis therapist also conducts extended forensic evaluations.

The Nurse Practitioner conducts physical and sexual abuse exams for children affected by sexual or physical abuse in Brazoria County. The exams include conducting a thorough health history, performing a comprehensive physical exam, photographing evidence of abuse, obtaining labs and cultures as needed and referring to appropriate specialists as needed. The nurse practitioner may also be called upon to testify in a court of law regarding the findings of the physical exams.

The Child Abuse Pediatrician conducts medical examinations for children who have been victims of physical and/or sexual abuse.The medical examination includes a thorough health history , a comprehensive physical examination, obtaining labs, radiological images and photodocumentation of evidence.The Pediatrician is also involved in educational training for CPS workers and law enforcement agencies as well as providing expert medical opinions in the court of law on cases of suspected child abuse and neglect.
