Helping Hands Make a Difference

Make a Difference, Help a Child

Volunteers are an important component of Brazoria County Alliance for Children. The following are areas where volunteers can be utilized:

  • Rainbow Room sorting and stocking
  • Keeping children company as they wait for forensic interviews or medical exams
  • Organizational and program fundraising
  • Birthday gift sorting & wrapping
  • Administrative and clerical duties
  • Christmas/holiday wrapping
  • Assisting with special events
  • Community Outreach

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us here at Brazoria County Alliance for Children. We need volunteers in several different areas and hope we can find one that is just right for you!

Please contact Melanie Garza, Program Assistant, at 979-846-2500 or email her at pro.asst@cac-bc.org. We look forward to visiting with you!

Please be advised that all of our volunteers are asked to complete these three steps:

  • Come in for a short visit. We’ll let you know about the various programs that we offer and match you with that perfect volunteer opportunity you are looking for.
  • Fill out a volunteer application, which helps us know what types of activities you are interested in, and what times work best for you. This helps us match you with the jobs which are best suited for you.
  • Complete the application for a background check (free to you.) Once we receive your application, it takes about 10 days to 2 weeks for clearance from the state. As soon as we receive clearance, we will notify you and start you on the road to what we hope will be a rewarding and terrific volunteer experience.
