Volunteerism is an important aspect of Brazoria County Alliance for Children. The following are examples of areas in which volunteers are utilized:
Rainbow room sorting & stocking
Direct contact with children as they await a forensic interview or medical exam
Organizational and program fundraising
Birthday gift selection & wrapping
Organizational & CAC clerical duties
Christmas/holiday wrapping
Quote from a volunteer:
“I believe society must be faithful to our children and protect their rights. To see to it that children have the necessary protection to grow up in a safe environment, where their needs for emotional and physical development are met, must be a primary duty and obligation of a civilized society. If our society fails to act and speak on behalf of endangered children, we would have failed their most basic rights.”
