BCAC Staff
Brazoria County Alliance for Children (BCAC) employs a staff of experienced professionals dedicated to serving the needs of abused and neglected children and their families. Services include conducting forensic interviews and assessments, therapy medical exams, child, family and court advocacy, and the provision of victim’s assistance as well as mental health services.
Jerry LyonsMulti-Disciplinary Team Liaison
The Multi-Disciplinary Team Liaison is responsible for maintaining & developing relationships with various team members, providing training for team members and first responders involving Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention, assisting with community outreach, assisting with development of team policies, procedures and protocols and coordinating case reviews and meetings. |
Mindy griffinFamily Advocate
The Family Advocate maintains continuous contact with the family in order to provide assistance throughout the course of the investigation. They also provide referrals for medical exams, therapy and other social services as needed. Family Advocates provide court accompaniment for children and their families if the case enters into a criminal trial. They also monitor case progress and provide crisis intervention, education and support to clients and their non-offending caregivers. |
Jennifer VranaProgram Assistant
The Program Assistant coordinates the intake process with Law Enforcement and Child Protective Services (scheduling and coordinating appointments). This position also provides assistance to non-offending caregivers in completing and submitting appropriate paperwork and educates family members about additional Crime Victims resources. |
